The Parker Tankard was originally awarded in place of the “President’s Prize” (distinct from the currently awarded President’s Prize), which was repurposed to be awarded to the highest-scoring individual in the match against the National Rifle Association, but is no longer awarded. Distances: 300 and 600 yards. Number of shots: 2 sighting shots and 10 shots to count at each distance. First Prize: The Parker Tankard, a hallmarked silver tankard presented by the National Rifle Association in 2000 in memory of Miss Edna Parker, “a most valued friend to the NRA”, and first awarded in 2001. A tie for the first prize will be shot off on the spot.
