Open to members of the Guernsey Rifle Club. Now a standalone competition, the Hermitage formerly formed part of the Spring Prize until 2001. For the formerly concurrent Class B competition until 2001, see the Highfield. From 2001 through 2005, the Hermitage was awarded to the highest-placing Guernseyman in the Spring Prize. Distances: 300, 500, and 600 yards. Number of shots: 2 sighting shots and 7 shots to count at each distance. First Prize: The Hermitage Trophy, a silver-plated cup first awarded in 1965. A tie for the first prize will be shot off on the spot.
